I feel as though paths next to streams and rivers are an essential component of walks in Oxford. It is of course, completely possible to walk without encountering water in any way, but these walks are special.
This particular stretch can be experienced while walking over Hythe Bridge Street, just before Upper Fisher Row. The stream is a section of the Castle Mill Stream. Taken on a cold and exceptionally windy day, which is why it’s surprising to see the weeping willow still.
Stream levels are rising and flooding has either happened or is imminent everywhere!
Lovelllly walk!!!!
